At present, there is a shortage of migrant workers in many cities in China, and the labor cost of construction is increasing. Only by promoting mechanized construction can construction efficiency be improved and labor costs be reduced. Therefore, the mechanized construction of mortar is undoubtedly an inevitable trend for the future development of China.

Comprehensive performance of machine sprayed mortar:

The biggest difference between machine sprayed mortar and traditional on-site mixed mortar lies in the introduction of a series of additives that can optimize the performance of the mortar. This makes the newly mixed mortar have good workability, high water retention rate, and good physical and chemical properties even when pumped over long distances and heights. Its biggest advantage lies in high construction efficiency and good quality of formed mortar. Due to the large initial velocity of the mortar during spraying, it can have a strong adhesion with the substrate, effectively reducing the occurrence of hollowing and cracking.

Common problems with machine sprayed mortar:

In practice, it has been found that during the transportation and mechanical spraying process of mortar, there may be some problems due to various reasons, such as power transmission problems, pipe blockage problems, construction safety issues, etc. Solutions for these problems are proposed.

Regarding the issue of electricity:

When the machine spraying equipment is powered on, the first thing to check is whether there is any damage or leakage in the cable. Secondly, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the ground wire is properly handled and whether the forward and reverse rotation of the motor is normal. Finally, it is important to ensure that the wiring is firm to avoid phase loss. If there is any abnormality, it is necessary to cut off the power supply in a timely manner for rectification and repair.

Regarding the issue of pipe blockage:

1) The mortar was not sieved by the equipment as required, and there were large restricted particles in the mortar, which caused jamming at the screw pump or spray gun nozzle, resulting in mortar clogging and pipe blockage;

2) Before starting up and using, the pipeline was not pre lubricated, so during the pumping process of mortar, the inner wall of the pipeline absorbed some moisture, resulting in a decrease in the viscosity of the mortar and the formation of pipe blockage;

3) The viscosity value of the mortar is too small, and the overload operation of the screw pump rotor causes the stator to dry and heat up, causing the mortar to harden and block the pipe;

4) Not proficient in operation, for example, during the spraying process, only opening the pumping valve without opening the air pressure valve, resulting in pipe blockage.

5) The equipment was not thoroughly cleaned after the previous use, and there was residual mortar left in the pipeline. During operation, it is necessary to strictly follow the procedures and clean the equipment promptly after each use. In case of pipe blockage, it is necessary to clear the pipeline in a timely manner and it is strictly prohibited to leave it for a long time to allow the mortar to solidify inside the pipeline.

Construction safety issues:

Safety responsibility is more important than Mount Tai. Machine spraying equipment belongs to small and medium-sized mechanical equipment, but it still poses certain risks due to the need for certain pressure during the pumping process. Especially during high-rise construction, special attention should be paid to the safety of construction personnel. Therefore, during construction, it is necessary to place the spraying equipment in a reasonable position, and the operators should cooperate well. It is strictly prohibited to aim the spraying gun at anyone and prevent physical injury or property damage caused by human factors.

The mechanized construction of mortar is an inevitable trend in the development of the mortar industry. However, at present, the awareness of mechanized construction among domestic people is not sufficient. Most mortar factories have a unclear understanding of the performance and technical characteristics of machine sprayed mortar, and there are not many skilled workers in the market who can operate machine sprayed equipment. Therefore, the comprehensive promotion of mechanized construction requires the joint efforts of professionals in the industry!
